Our Parlor

Madison Street Inn's parlor features an original chair and sofa set by George Gellaff, a crazy, talented 19th century furniture maker. Parlor, sitting and hallway walls feature Bradbury and Bradbury wallpapers. The wood floors are made of vertical grain redwood.

Our Dining Room

Overlooking the gardens, the dining room features a china cabinet built by the innkeeper, Ralph. The Inn also has a, "Revolving" library - bring one in, take away another - established by our regular guests over the past 20 years.

Inn Policies

  • 48 hours notice of cancellation required for refund of first night’s deposit.
  • Check-in time is 4 to 6 p.m. Please call if different.
  • We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Reservations

Theresa has decorated each room to be comfortable yet functional.  Comforters, colored sheets and wall treatments all contribute to an extremely relaxing stay and sleep.  Antique wardrobes, desks and bath fixtures are used alongside modern plumbing, electrical and bedding.  We have two rooms sharing a bath up through a suite that features a private entrance, king bed and a "Japanese style" soaker tub. Like our guests, each room is one of a kind.

Santa Clara University Guests

Located a mile from SCU, the Inn has been putting up parents of SCU students for many years now. The parents enjoy the proximity to the college and the homey feel of the Inn. Whether they are checking out SCU as a prospective school for their college age son or daughter, settling in their Freshmen, attending an orientation (July/August) or parents weekend (February and April), the Inn offers a cozy alternative to the nearby motel. Mention you are attending an event at SCU for a 10 percent discount. Students are welcome to join you for breakfast at the Inn for free, just ask!

Dog Friendly Bed and Breakfast

The Madison Street Inn welcomes well-behaved canines.
Lana, the Siberian husky loves to have visitors in the backyard but if they need quality time alone with you, the front yard is open and there is a park nearby. Breakfast is included and a special peanut butter treat last thing in the evening, as well as their own bowls for their stay. Reasonable rate for the area of $20.
